As she sprayed the chemicals she'd press a button... The incubators would go downwards with the molten metal tanks... seemingly into the floor where the important main frame was. She looked at her watch as she let Nola grow her battle carapace in peace as she counted down from ten, expecting the two workers to arrive no later than that. She knew it took time to grow out the carapace, thankfully not too long but it did give her a bit of time to review the design of the battle carapace and find the differences in them... She had done her research before hand, they weren't quite as fast as her with her natural speed being higher... With the other two charging up through the tunnel as she watched and reviewed, she adjusted her spectacles as her ears twitched... Her cat instincts were kicking in, she stuck a silver-vine lollipop in her mouth... She started calculating at an insane rate.
She would think to herself for a few seconds recalling knowledge of insects as well as the research Nola provided, with the two helper ants being less than silent she concluded the battle carapace was possibly for defense with a softer exoskeleton. Thankfully with her natural gymnast-like cat reflexes she'd do the smart thing and dodge around Nola's attack... With her intense study with Nola's movement she had spotted that her speed in the carapace was slower than her average. Of course that made Nola wind up go through some of the testing equipment... and the food supply of sweets which made up most of Kokonoe's room... With the open door behind her finally having the two helpers charge up the elevator shafts, she'd back flip over them allowing them to crash through more sweets and equipment... Surprisingly most of the stuff in the lab was plastic due to her flipping tables meaning glass wasn't an option.
It was quite frankly a typical day in the lab, the molten metals below completing her prototypes unknowing to all but her... She figured she'd just evade until they burnt themselves out like the training she took as a field agent before she started to work in a lab twenty four seven on nothing but candy, a few hours of sleep, and coffee. Since she refused to use magic the only attacks she'd do are quick counters to knock them back, only using any form of magic or her battle wrench if something was thrown at her directly. She knew the chemical only took a few minutes to wear off, which was useful for her since she wouldn't have to keep this up forever even if this is her innate ability to evade. Of course as the small fight went on their tactics started to improve, she had to evolve with the tactics of the ant trio. Shrapnel eventually was starting to get past her wrench causing cuts on her body but dodging anything that could hit her vitals, as well as dodging them at a physical range as she couldn't risk the hit.
"Computer; release twin fields Alpha and Beta!" She said as the shrapnel impaired her movements letting the ants surround her, two children with giant floating swords appeared... It seemed as if they could control the swords in some way... The great swords separated into six smaller swords each, "Don't attack Alpha, Beta. Go on defense." The two nodded as the blade shoved into the ground making two circles around the three... Energy charged through the weapons, leaving a surprise for the ant's physical attacks of the now trashed lab. A force field, no... Two. Two that could take the impact of the strength of the ants, buying enough time for them to either calm down or their Mr. Squishy to come running in hopefully... Especially now since it was three on three...
"As you wish Mast-" The two were cut off by Kokonoe herself.
"Don't call me that, you have a soul now you're people. You work for me, but I want a bond not a slavery... Just keep the food as safe as possible... Enough is on the floor already... The things I do for science, you know after I fixed someone's car by ripping two of the doors off to remake the engine you'd think I'd learn not to take short cuts."
"...Kokonoe." Replied Alpha, the female of the Prototype Twins.
"Huh?"
"...They will break through the first force field any second now, now isn't the time to think out loud." Which was the remark of Beta, himself.
Kokonoe gave an annoyed expression, as if she knew that, "You both are more durable about as much as these shields... each of us take one... We can all move faster than they can so keep on running them in circles once they break that second force field. No harm will come to any of the three or someone will end up in the scrap heap... Myself included." Alpha and Beta nodded as they prepared and chose a target to distract in the mean time. Kokonoe would dodge Nola until she calmed down, Alpha would take Astra, and Beta's target would obviously be the remaining lady, Sonna. The funny part about the twin fields is that they were about the same size physically as the Formica race due to being children originally, though everyone would probably be surprised when everyone came to their senses that Kokonoe wasn't kidding about making artificial pseudo-human life. At least she hoped they would be since she sounded like she was simply rambling off crazy science fiction. Eventually with the food and broken equipment scattering the floor... It seems the ants would catch on to how the force fields worked, if they co-ordinate an attack in a singe area it'd bust a hole in them. Kokonoe would prepare her Battle Wrench as Alpha prepared her floating ranged blades, as it seemed they would have to counter attack out of the field at this rate unless they calmed down before hand.
